Artificial Sweeteners and Weight Loss

Artificial sweeteners were created to replace sugar. Simply put, when sugar (carbohydrates, starchy vegetables, alcohol, breads, pastas, rice etc.) is consumed and we are not doing enough physical activity to burn the sugar calories, the excess sugar will be stored as fat; not just any fat, but the BAD fat. Bad fat or visceral fat, is the fat that can cause cardiovascular disease, abnormal cholesterol levels, metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, and Type II diabetes. The physical distribution of this fat can mainly be found in the abdominal area; it's the look of being 9 months pregnant; a big abnominal area and skinny arms and legs, or as my son (at 4 years old) said, "Gramma, you look like you ate a tire..." I am happy to say that Grandma lost the tire(s) after losing weight with hCG and is ready for her tummy tuck!!
So...artificial sweeteners were invented to prevent the fat storage response, and it does just that. Artificial sweeteners that do not cause an insulin response will not, DIRECTLY, cause weight gain.
In an article written in Science News it states that using artificial sweeteners actually causes more weight gain by increasing hunger, than using natural sweeteners.
Artificial sweeteners are causing people to crave more sweets and eat more food. It is no wonder why 68% of adults in the United States are overweight and 90% of overweight adults use artificial sweeteners. I have not found any studies on what is the percentage of people with the ideal body weight that use artificial sweeteners. That would be interesting.
Natural sugar and other natural sweeteners satisfy our hunger centers in the brain, which satisfies our sweet tooth and helps us to eat less food. Since sugar does cause insulin to store fat it is very important to keep sugar intake at a minimum.
The Weight Control Program uses hCG to target abnormal fat stores. HCG will breakdown the fat and release the nutrients, carbohydrates, proteins and toxins into the bloodstream. Sugar, carbohydrates and fat are to be avoided while taking hCG, which leads many patients to reach for the sugar-free, calorie-free artificial sweeteners. We recommend using products with Stevia as the ingredient for sweetness. Stevia is a sweetener derived from the Stevia plant, a natural source.
